Something to chew on (doesn’t taste like cardboard)

Running for Sea Paws Rescue

Lately I’ve been more interested than ever in supporting causes that support non-human animals. There are so many animals living in different states of intense need. Animal rescue organizations address a specific type of need that is often overlooked. When I got the opportunity to choose from among a number of different charities for a 5K I’m running on Sunday, I chose Sea Paws Rescue (please consider donating to Sea Paws by visiting my race fundraising page).

Sea Paws Rescue is a Canadian agency whose mission is “to save the lives of neglected and stray animals.” They think of themselves as giving a voice to the voiceless, rescuing animals locally and overseas. Sea Paws is a 100% volunteer and foster-based organization.

If you’d like to donate to Sea Paws Rescue, please consider doing so through my fundraising page for Sunday’s 5K. You can find it here, and I would appreciate any amount in support of this cause.

If you are interested in adopting or fostering through Sea Paws, you can find more information about how to do that on their website. Information about adoption is here. Information about fostering is here.

As part of the ongoing evolution of the blog, I will regularly profile agencies engaged in activism and advocacy in support of compassion, kindness, and non-exploitation of non-human animals. Sea Paws Rescue is one among many worthy charities doing important work.
